The features and plants in bloom are -

Cottage garden features: Two willow trees on the left - donated by the birds! - which we pollard in alternate years:
1. The willow in the foreground was pollarded in spring this year - 2006, next treatment will be in 2008.
2. The willow in the background will be pollarded again in spring 2007.
Back yard gate for privacy and to keep the dogs and cats at home.
Cottage gardening flowers on the:
- Left side - flowering currant and Japanese rose, syn. Kerria rose, Easter rose.
- House wall and the kitchen window to the right - wisteria and honeysuckle.
- Back gate - an overhang of wisteria.
